South Carolina Accountant License

You can work as a CPA in South Carolina once you get your license. First, you need to graduate from a board-approved and accredited college. You need at least 120 hours of credit hours. Your credits must include:

  • 24 semester hours in accounting, including 300+ level courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, U.S. taxation, and auditing
  • 24 semester hours in business classes

You then need one year or 2,000 hours of work experience under the supervision of a CPA. Part-time work will go toward the requirement, but overtime work does not. You cannot exceed 40 hours a week. South Carolina Insurance License

Then, you can take the South Carolina Real Estate Sales exam. Next, you can take Unit II of the course, titled Advanced Real Estate Principles. You must receive a passing score on the 30-hour course. If you want to become a broker, you also must meet the licensing requirements. First, you need to have three years of experience as a licensed salesperson. That experience must have taken place within the previous five years. You can bypass this requirement if you have a bachelor’s degree in real estate or a law degree.
